i muji

if you don't know about muji, it's time you should. i've known of this brand for almost two years now. my new favorite color is white and i find the minimal aesthetic resonates with me very well as i find scandinavian design more to my liking these days. japanese aethetic is also quite deceptively minimal for they can get quite complex before you can even say the words: avant garde. all in all, i just know these images of their interior styling, luggage, and products are very pleasing to the eye.

i dream in colors

today's color is: green

i ♥ alexander wang

congrats to alex wang for winning the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award
. here is to reminisce his fall 2008 ready to wear collection. styled by his model friend, erin wasson, these looks have inspired my many fall outfits and had me wearing a beanie for a while. the skinny jeans completely zip apart into two separate pant legs. the suede front-zipped ankle boots are really cute. he's also gotten me back to wearing shirtdresses, blazers, and to execute a monochromatic color story with an emphasis on BLACK.

salad bowls i like

{images via crate and barrel}

just in time for some holiday entertaining. in my case...i'm gonna use it almost every day and most likely going to get the first one, which is made out of acacia wood. the 2nd one is made out of mango wood. both from crate and barrel. the one directly below is from sur la table.
the chunky serving utensils.

{images via ebay}

these are from ebay and i ♥ the egg shaped one. imagine serving egg salad in the egg bowl. both are most likely teak as with most mid-century salad bowls. the 2nd set reminds me of the sur la table set from above in shape. i had a set very similar to this set but i had to move house and had to let them go last minute. mine looked more like doggy bowls tho. lol.

these last two are from target. i like the chunky serving forks with cherry finish that target label as "salad hands," cute! the 2nd one has clean lines and i like the two-toned colors.

i hope everyone gets to serve their salads in style this lovely winter.
